To live our patience for nature activities and cultural experiences
Vision Outdoor (formerly FrauenOutdoor) was founded 2004 with the goal to develop and guide unique tours for women as well as for blind and visually impaired people. Not only our strong feeling for nature but also our patience for exploring and learning about different countries and people is the basis for our activities. During the first three years we mainly organized nature sports activities for women and girls with disabilities. Since 2005 we also have planned several tours for blind and partially sighted people. In 2008 the name Frauenoutdoor was changed into Visionoutdoor. Since then providing nature sports programs for visually impaired people is the main purpose of Visionoutdoor.Our philosophy is to open access to nature and naturesportiv activities for handicapped people, as well as to create unique experiences in and with nature and culture. Within all our activities we support nature and culture awareness and respect. Visionoutdoor offers two diffenrent types of programs. You can join tours which are usually a combination of nature sports and culture activities. Or you choose one of our courses to improve your physical and social strengths.
We orientate on the special needs of our costumers. We desire to facilitate insights and close-ups of the regions we visit. Within our tours we touch different facets of the nature and culture of the region we visit and animate different senses. For example tasting traditional and regional food and drinks, listening to native music and stories, talking to natives, getting around with what is typical, diving in to history and much more will be part of our programs.
First priority of our tours are the participants. We therefore will look after every one who decides to visit a foreign country with us. We strive to an atmosphere where every participant feels at ease and free to meet culture and nature and enjoys our activities at one's own speed and possibilities. There no special qualifications or a specific level of condition are necessary for any of our tours.
Our friendly team of highly trained volunteers and tour guides assists you during your trip. Most of them have an educational background and will share their experiences and ideas with you. Our guides support all participants whenever it is possible and requested.
For the first time 2010 Visionoutdoor is organizing programs especially for visually impaired teenagers.
In addition to the programs of VisionOutdoor e.V., Claudia Vilmar organizes also other tours. Those have more a touristic character and will be listed seperatly.
